Gloria Estefan’s luxurious resort, Costa d’Este in Vero Beach, Florida, was the ultimate backdrop for this styled shoot by A. Tappen Photography. The modern blue and green accents submerge this couple in an ocean oasis. The bubble chandelier and dreamy table fabrics perfectly compliment the wedding’s tropical theme, along with the floral arrangements of white roses, orchids, and “seaweed.” So glamorous!
Scarves, fuzzy boots, and mugs of hot apple cider. September is nearly here, and we can already feel that crisp autumn breeze.
Spring may be the most common season for weddings, but autumn also offers gorgeous color and style possibilities. For today’s inspiration board, we spun a variation on this year’s popular color pairing, bright blue and poppy red, and muted both colors for a rustic fall wedding.
Cool shades of teal and turquoise offset the warmth of cinnamon reds and browns. A bouquet of desert flowers beautifully blends these colors. Clusters of burgundy autumn leaves warm a centerpiece with a variety of lanterns and candles, like this simple DIY tea light candle surrounded by cinnamon sticks. Infuse your menu with autumn delights, such as honeycrisp apple sangria, maple-glazed squash, and pork tenderloin marinated with cinnamon. Pretty tins of cinnamon breath mints, custom made with the couple’s names or initials, make sweet wedding favors.
We LOVE fun and unexpected color combinations. For their wedding, Anna and Michael paired cool shades of turquoise blue with vibrant cherry red. The couple had an intimate outdoor ceremony in Jackson, Mississippi, surrounded by a circle of their family and friends. Anna looked elegantly vintage in her tea-length Lazaro gown, birdcage veil, and brooch bouquet. The couple’s reception space was decked with brilliant red flowers, blue birdcages, lots of red candy, and strawberry flavored Jones soda customized with the couple’s photograph. The groom’s cake sported a whimsical Pokemon cake topper, and adorable bird toppers adorned the wedding cake. Each sweet moment of this wedding was captured by Adam + Alli Photography.
Food, family, fireworks–all you need is a wedding dress! If you’re a future Independence Day bride, consider having a late afternoon ceremony followed by a dinner menu of savory barbeque and sangria. Snag free reception fireworks by choosing a venue near the city’s 4th of July firework show, usually in the downtown area. And while you’re celebrating today, grab inspiration from our favorite parts of America’s birthday: rich shades of red and blue, chilled blueberry pie, and LOTS of fireworks.
Have a fabulous 4th!
