Todd and Masha enjoyed a gorgeous outdoor ceremony at the Black Diamond Ranch in Florida. This February wedding, photographed by Mark Dickinson Photography, was soft and romantic, with a reception space draped in pink chiffon and bowls of floating candles and roses. With blue skies and a stunning natural setting, what bride could ask for anything more romantic?
For their July wedding, Krista and Pablo exchanged vows in an elegant outdoor ceremony on the rooftop of The Plaza Hotel in downtown Orlando, Florida. Photographer Jessica of Jesse Giles Photography said the last-minute venue change was the perfect choice for these “lovebirds.”
“It was amazing, with such beautiful city views and perfect blue skies,” Jessica said. “The interior had such a cool modern feel. I would definitely recommend this venue.”
With old Hollywood details like a lace wedding gown, vintage fur jacket, and a slick Rolls Royce, Rachel and Jonathan’s winter wedding in Birmingham, Alabama exuded classic chic. The Cajun-style buffet, fleur-de-lis centerpieces, and rich purple details are also nods to New Orleans, a city that holds a special place in the couple’s hearts. Their photographer, Alisha of Alisha Crossley Photography, shared their sweet love story:
“The couple met at the University of Alabama through the groom’s sister. Rachel attended Jonathan’s fraternity mixer which turned into a night they’d never forget! On a whim, the two joined friends for an overnight trip from the gulf coast to New Orleans, LA during the formal! New Orleans has remained a treasured memory for the couple as the site that started their relationship.”
Sheena and Nick’s dreamy outdoor wedding took place at the stunning Carraway Davie House in Birmingham, Alabama. Full of Southern charm, their June nuptials were decked in pink, white, and yellow flowers. The couple stood beneath a rose trellis for their traditional ceremony and enjoyed not one, but two luscious cakes at their reception. We love the chic houndstooth fondant! These beautiful photos were taken by Kelli of Alabama-based Daniel Taylor Photography.
Although Brock and Marina tied the knot early last August, their guests are still raving about the couple’s luxurious lakeside wedding, captured by New York-based photographer Anne-Claire Brun. The wedding took place at the Sagamore Resort on Lake George in New York, an easy venue choice for this sweet couple.
“Lake George has always been a very special place for Brock and me,” said bride Marina. “Our families vacationed in the area for years. It’s also where we spent our first Valentine’s Day, and where Brock asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. The Sagamore Resort, with its breathtaking views of Lake George and the surrounding mountains, was the ideal location for celebrating our big day. The resort’s old-world style highlighted the ‘classic-elegant’ theme of our wedding.”
This feeling of luxurious elegance permeated the reception and ceremony, all the way down to the guests’ transportation.
“Our guests arrived at the Sagamore on a classic wooden yacht and enjoyed the magnificent views and lake breezes at our outdoor ceremony, followed by cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the gorgeous grounds,” the bride said.
Chefs Laura and Zach were lucky in love on their 11-11-11 wedding day, photographed by Bill and Kelli of Kelli Nixon Photography. The autumn wedding in Denver, Colorado, featured lots of DIY details like chalkboard signs, burned wood cutouts, and adorable fairy costumes for the flower girls, reminiscent of the play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream:
“Rustic, yet glamorous, with a touch of my personality everywhere you look,” Laura said.
This classically elegant e-session captures the love between “old souls” Fatimah and Cal. The autumn shoot in Drayton Valley, Alberta, Canada was photographed by Eternal Reflections Photography. Happy Friday, everyone!
